Step 1
- Add the mayonnaise and ketchup to a medium mixing bowl and whisk until smooth.

Step 2
- Whisk in the apple cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce until the mixture looks glossy and fully combined.

Step 3
- Add the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne, and hot sauce (if using). Whisk again until the sauce is creamy and evenly blended.

Step 4
- Taste the sauce and adjust if needed. If it feels too sharp, add a little more mayo. If you want it sweeter, add a tiny pinch more brown sugar.

Step 5
- Transfer the sauce to an airtight jar, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes
I always recommend chilling this sauce because it really changes the flavor. Right after mixing, it tastes a little “separate,” but after an hour it becomes smooth, balanced, and more like the real Zaxby’s version.
Store it in the fridge and use within 7 days. Give it a quick stir before serving since it can thicken slightly as it chills.
