Ingredients
  

1 cup Unsalted butter Room temperature
3.5 cups Powdered sugar Sifted
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract Or vanilla bean paste
2–3 tablespoons Milk or heavy cream Add gradually
0.25 teaspoon Salt Optional but recommended

Method
 

  1. Add room-temperature butter to a mixing bowl. Beat on medium-high speed for 5–7 minutes until pale and fluffy.
